Feal Cats

Fix KC Cat Clinics are back and "operating" through 2005!

The NMHP Fix KC cat clinics will be "operating" again throughout the remainder of the year!

It is our goal to serve people who cannot afford the full service vet clinics or the low cost spay/neuter clinics by offering very affordable spay/neuter surgeries.

The NMHP Fix KC clinics are offered for people who are financially disadvantaged and/or individuals who are dealing with feral or stray cats, or large populations of cats. Individuals must qualify for these special clinics.

Please call today for more information 816.333.PETS or email kcpets.org.

Spay and neuter Feral Cats
What is the difference between a stray and a feral cat?

A STRAY CAT is a domestic cat that has been abandoned or has strayed from home and become lost. A stray cat may be skittish in your presence, but because stray cats once knew human companionship, they can usually be re-socialized and re-homed.

A FERAL CAT is born and raised outside with little or no human contact or is a stray that has lived outside long enough to revert to a wild state. Adult feral cats usually cannot be tamed and are most content living outside. Feral kittens up to eight or ten weeks of age, on the other hand, can often be tamed and placed in homes.
